Understandably, cost is the primary consideration when selecting an export partner. We have eliminated unnecessary complexity to provide an efficient service that maximizes customer value, ensuring complete transparency and zero hidden charges..
ROBUST AUTO Service Fee
Our base price is straightforward with no hidden extras. For vehicles costing more than ¥1,000,000, we apply a 5% surcharge only on the amount over ¥1,000,000. For example, a ¥1,500,000 vehicle would have a surcharge of 5% × ¥500,000 = ¥25,000.

To maintain transparency, the following outlines expenses for which the buyer is responsible. Please note that these figures serve as a representative sample and may vary according to the regulations of your destination country.
Auction Fees
Winning Bid Fee Each auction venue adds a fee on top of the hammer price, usually between ¥7,000 and ¥22,000 for most vehicles. It’s charged at cost — the exact amount the auction invoices us is the exact amount on your invoice, with no margin added.
Negotiation Fee (Occasional) When a vehicle doesn’t sell during the live auction and we negotiate a deal for you afterward, the auction house charges a ¥10,000 negotiation fee. This is rare, and we only go this route when it’s clearly to your advantage. For more details, just ask your sales rep.
Domestic Transportation from Auction Venue to Port of Expor
As we source vehicles from auction venues throughout Japan, domestic transportation costs fluctuate, typically ranging from 15,000 to 60,000 yen. These fees reflect the volume-based discounts secured from logistics providers, which are passed on directly to the client.
Clearing Customs in Your Country
Import regulations and associated costs are country‑specific and typically include customs duty, applicable taxes, excise fees, and terminal handling charges. These costs may also vary by port of entry within a given country. Prospective buyers are advised to engage a licensed customs broker in the destination country to obtain an accurate import‑cost quotation.
Country Specific Pre-inspection (JAAI / JEVIC) e.g Kenya, Mozambique
Certain countries require a pre-shipment inspection before your car leaves Japan. Because these destinations usually have strict rules, make sure to check the requirements before buying. Costs vary, so reach out if you have any questions!
Destination Compliance & Registration Fees
Once the vehicle is legally imported, the buyer is responsible for any compliance inspections, safety tests, and registration fees required to put the vehicle on the road. These costs are comparable to those associated with any domestic used‑vehicle purchase but may include additional mandated inspections. As they can be difficult to forecast, we encourage you to consult with us — we can provide guidance for a number of destinations.
